Kaitoke Ridge Track, Wellington, New Zealand

We have been renovating our house for too long so today, paint brush down for the morning and off into the bush (www.gw.govt.nz/The-Ridge-Track/). This track requires 2 cars as it is not a loop, so you drop one off then drive to the other end, then walk back. Simple.

Two cars are required as it is a one way walk
Very old
Excellent views from the walking track
Upper Hutt Valley
More old bush
OK, they are Dutch and collect moss and fungus pictures
Teaching people about our false wave needs
This was a celebration haka but got mixed up with a false wave

Toast Martinborough Wine Festival, New Zealand - November 2009

Isn't it funny how fast a year goes. This year took the broads to Toast Martinborough wine festival. Apparently this is a festival where you go from vineyard to vineyard sampling. We seem to have perfected that even though you need a steep bank balance. The photos do not fully show the hurricane in progress. One video attached of the girls thumb dancing (pissed). At least there was no rain.

Anyway, jajing, waaaaa.

Saturday Morning 'in the life of' Wellington, New Zealand - November 2009

We will be moving house soon, so back by popular demand here are some more photos of a typical Saturday morning.

First off we have to go across town to Houghton Bay to visit a garden. We have been enrolling for courses (e.g. Steve has completed Astronomy, and Acrylic Painting) and today we are having a talk on 'Gardening in the Wind'. Following that we drive a short distance to Island Bay and have a coffee (in the wind).

Finally we nip into the outdoor shop to buy some camping gear for our epic Christmas camping expedition (to the Tizards' batch). So that was our Saturday morning.
