Gisborne, New Zealand - February 2010

We had been led to believe Gisborne is so isolated that it is actually the interbreeding capital of New Zealand. We found it to be a most pleasant sunny place and think it is just some of our friends who have certain habits. We will speak to them about that.

Gisborne seems to have avoided a lot of the over expansion that a lot of the cities have had .... in other words, it is far away from Auckland. It is very nice place.

Now it is worth mensioning that New Zealand history started here. In 1769 a certain Captin Cook sailed by. Nick the cabin boy, was the first to spot land (and we care why). A few mishaps with bullets meant Captain Cook left shortly afterwards. I am going to cut history short by saying that when the French and the Austrailians arrived, the English soon became mates again.

Guest Bedroom, Wellington, New Zealand - February 2010

We have now moved to a house in Khandallah right up the side of Mount Kaukau.

http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/erwanhem/kaukau.htm

We get different view over all the different sides of Wellington. Managed to getting around to take a panoramic photo out of our guest bedroom (having climbed out the window).

Day 1, Sevens Rugby, Wellington, New Zealand - February 2010

Day 1 of 2 of the Sevens Rugby tournament.

Centurions and Goddesses prepare for the event by ingesting golden liquid.

Romans make their way to the Coliseum on their Chariot.

30,000 other people seem to have got there already and been ingesting the golden liquid.

The purpose of the whole event is to sing (make notes Chivs) between wugby games.

"I got a feeling" - Black Eyed Peas

The sun is hot. Very hot.

"Why does love do this to me. I don't know, I don't know" - The Exponents

Teenagers seem to believe the toilets are for shagging.

"Don't you go out in the rain" - Dragon

Romans continue to digest golden liquid.

"I see red , I see red, I see red" - Split Enz

Hick.

Day 2, Sevens Rugby, Wellington, New Zealand - February 2010

Day 2 of 2 and we form ranks.

Some romans have head injuries and sight loss caused by the golden liquid (although they were told to drink the clear liquid as well). Mr Coventry "where were you, where were you".

With reduced numbers we invade (queueing in straight lines) the Colosseum again.

Sun hats have been adorned.

More wugby happens.

More golden liquid is consumed.

More singing.

"and if it were different, but you know it aint, call me loyal" - Dave Dobbyn

It is very hot. Very hot.

"Sway" - Bic Runga

Welease woger.
