Went down to Cardrona for a weeks skiing. Drove up from Queenstwon which as you can see from the first photo is a unique road with a superb view. Again stayed in Cardrona itself so we could get up the mountain early. The weather was patchy for the first few days but it did throw down some new snow and the views were unusual being in and out of clouds. Also took a trips after skiing into Wanaka, which is bizarre being 2 degrees up top then 12 degrees in town, and sat on the water front having a beer. Cardrona was also hosting the World Cup Halfpipe Qualifications for both skiers and boarders so we stopped behind and watched backstage for a while since these were apparently some of the best in the world. See if you can spot your heroes in the photo - we can't, dough!. On the way out of Cardrona we called in Arrowtown. Just a quick glimpse of that and we will have to come back and spend more time in Otago.
