Sydney Pictures - AUSTRALIA !!! - May 2009

First trip to the west island AUSTRALIA and how excited were we ! Seems close to New Zealand but in our heads it was a long way away. We took several hundred photos of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Other sights include; native birds, man demonstrating use of Australian banana phone, indigenous drug abuse, and .... no less than the Sydney Opera House toilets. Enjoy.

Nature Reserve, Kapiti Island, New Zeland - September 2009

Spent Saturday on Kapiti island nature reserve. Only 50 people can land per day and you need a permit, so it is quite protected. All the pests have been cleared (except a few humans). It is basically a mountain that sticks up out of the sea and you land on the beach and walk through bush to the top, which takes 1.5 hours if you are mountain man or 3 hours if you stop for every rare bird. Views were exceptional and a jolly good day out. Beer in pub well deserved.

Ninety Mile Beach, Northland, New Zealand - May 2009

Off up to the very North of New Zealand. First passing the memorial to the Green Peace Warrior (will be diving the warrior on the next trip). Fantastic beaches. Took a day trip on a coach along the 90 Mile Beach, very touristy but excellent.
