Mission Concert 2014, Napier, New Zealand

The British Invasion with Ronan Keating and Sharon Corr, oops quick rename it. The Irish and British Invasion. Right better, let's go then. Cool line up actually but totally mystifying to Kiwis. Billy Ocean !! Leo Sayer !! Come on. Rockin.

Evening is coming upon us and the roasting sun is dropping behind our backs. What a superb day in the sunny Bay in the Mission field. Mid 20s all day. Picnic mostly consumed.

Sir Duke from 70s currently on stage and they just dud Dragon's Rain. Oh year.

Main artist come on one by one songs. Billy Ocean blew away the others. We want more.

On we go. Yes leo we feel like dancing. Yes did.

Note to self: need neon flashy things. Optons seem to be neon hats, neon glasses, nein wine glasses. Bugger for now will have to use iPhone touch.

Day One, El Presidente, Wellington Sevens, New Zealand

It may have had a bit of rain later in the day but Friday Sevens showed off some good rugby pool matches. Started off sunny with New Zealand giving away an early cock up and loosing to an excellent Fiji. That later left them runners up and into the next round tomorrow. England blew away their pool and go through top and looking just about favourites at the moment. We had earlier got the bus into the station and met up at the Thistle. Last year we melted in the raging sun, not this year as the dratted rain popped on and off while the stadium filled. The evening stadium parade and bands were jolly as normal. Skipped a bit early to maintain our sobriety and then had a few beers at Leuven and D4 on the way home where we found russian generals (as we stopped correcting people we were of corse spanish dictators) brought some positive jovial reactions. Until tomorrow then !

Waitangi Day, Wellington Harbour, New Zealand

Wellington waterfront was surprisingly packed today for Waitangi Day. The city itself was skeepy on this national holiday but our walk to have a quiet beer and lunch on the front came upon masses celebrating. Everyone happy it seems today.
