Day One, El Presidente, Wellington Sevens, New Zealand
It may have had a bit of rain later in the day but Friday Sevens showed off some good rugby pool matches. Started off sunny with New Zealand giving away an early cock up and loosing to an excellent Fiji. That later left them runners up and into the next round tomorrow. England blew away their pool and go through top and looking just about favourites at the moment. We had earlier got the bus into the station and met up at the Thistle. Last year we melted in the raging sun, not this year as the dratted rain popped on and off while the stadium filled. The evening stadium parade and bands were jolly as normal. Skipped a bit early to maintain our sobriety and then had a few beers at Leuven and D4 on the way home where we found russian generals (as we stopped correcting people we were of corse spanish dictators) brought some positive jovial reactions. Until tomorrow then !

Crab Shack, Wellington, New Zealand
Wedding anniversary (big number) so trotted out to a restaraunt we wanted to try called Crab Shack. Liked the beer handles, like the atmosphere. Food was trying to be clever but was a bit average and below pat (sorry Simon it also gave me wind). Staff very attentive though. Probably would go again for atmosphere.
